Cutest little Bub!! Dark Blue & Neutrals | Illinois Newborn Photographer

So I just have to start off by saying this guy was a real unicorn baby (what us newborn photogs call incredibly sleepy babes). He literally slept the whole session and I got so many sweet images of him!! I love them all, especially the black and whites at the end. I was trying to wake him up at the very end to get just 1 awake shot. This little guy had other plans LOL.

He must have loved the soothing sounds and warm air in the studio. He was sleeping so good and showed me what he thought about me trying to wake him up (scroll to the last set of images to see). Too cute <3

Baby Boy Newborn Studio Session + In Home Lifestyle

So this little guy was just a dream baby. I am loving the mix of relaxed and posed looks for his session. For a BONUS we even checked out his adorable woodland nursery, which is a mix of light blue, metal, and custom wooden decor. Mom and Dad did such a great job putting it together…just had to show it off!!

PS. Can you guess which parent is the beetles fan and who is the superhero fan ? =)

Just can’t get enough of this cuties images!! Enjoy =)

3 Reasons to book a Newborn Photography Session

Wondering if a Newborn Sessions is right for you ??

Here are 3 reasons why you’ll want to book a Newborn shoot with LDT Photography!

 1.       First professional portrait

Cell phone images are wonderful for something quick in the moment. But, why not have a timeless, quality image that your little one will cherish for a lifetime and beyond?

Having tangible, professional images to pass on for generations to come is SOOO important! They will absolutely want to see their first family photos and share them with their spouse and kids one day!

2.       They grow so quickly

In the early infant stages their features are constantly changing. They will look completely different from the time of birth to the monthly milestones. It can be easy to forget those little details and precious moments, because they go so quickly. Newborn Sessions are scheduled within the first 2 weeks of life so these moments are not forgotten.

Newborns don’t allow for second chances. You can’t postpone their growth which is why it is SUPER important to schedule a newborn photo session early on in pregnancy. You’ll want to capture these newborn moments within the first two weeks of birth. Newborns sleep and curl up the way they were in the womb for only a short while after birth. As weeks pass, babies lose their curviness, they grow bigger, and are not as easily settled.

3. Capturing perfection.

Newborns are breathtaking! It is only natural that you’ll want to remember every little detail about your bundle of joy. EVERYTHING! From their puckered lips to tiny toes and back rolls!! Our memory often fades over time. A newborn photo session is an opportunity to freeze this moment in time and preserve the memory of your baby in your hearts and minds through these timeless photographs.

Caleb Newborn Session

When this little guy came in the studio, I was so excited....and that adorable!!!! The cutest cheeks + the sleepiest dude = an amazing session. He totally rocked his session and I seriously could have snuggled him all day!!

I am so thrilled to capture these moments for this sweet family!!

Newborn Girl| St. Louis MO-Belleville IL

I just loved working with this sweet family!  The thing I have noticed about second babies is how much more relaxed mom is. In my experience, it often makes a difference in our shoot!

Ramzie, whose name has a special meaning to dad & mom, was the most perfect baby for her session. Never fussed and was just really calm! I think it absolutely has to do with 2 things. Mommy followed the prep guide I sent and baby feeds off our energy and patience.

Now, luckily I was able to easily pose sweet Ramzie... but that's not always the case. If I have a fussier baby that's not a problem! I am specially trained in newborns, so I really pay attention to how they react to the pose. If they don't like being on their stomach for instance, then I will move them into the next pose. I never force baby to be in a position that makes them uncomfortable.

They ordered a gorgeous 16 x 20 Mounted Print of the image below!! Isn't it gorgeous!! I love when parents choose beautiful wall art of their babies to hang up!!

I am so thankful for having parents that trust me completely with their newborn. Mom & Dad feel so blessed to have two sweet little girls and I just loved being able to capture this moment in time for them.

Baby Anne Newborn Session | Belleville IL Newborn Pictures by LDT Photography

Introducing this sweet baby girl. I just love the meaning behind Anne, who was named after her great grandma (dad side), and grandma (mommas side) whose middle name is Annette.  They wanted to pay homage to both, which is so thoughtful!

As the fourth baby, she has definitely completed her family in more ways than they could ever imagine! She gets to share her room with big sis, Ava and it's filled with turquoise and whimsical flowers. When I styled the session, I actually had no idea it would match their room so perfectly =)

I'm super sad I won't be able to photograph her the entire year, due to their family moving. Daddy's in the Air Force so it's time to move to another base. I can't wait to see her one more time for her 6 month Session though!!

Ms Anne was 7 pounds 8 oz and 19.5 inches long! Isn't she gorgeous??!

Baby Alivia Newborn Pictures by LDT Photography St. Louis Belleville IL

Jackie was so sweet and over the moon about her little Alivia when she brought her in. She dreamt that she was having a girl before she even knew! Sure Enough, Miss Alivia arrived into this world and was itty bitty... weighing just over 5 pounds. This little girl is going to have  her daddy wrapped around her finger I am sure!!

Her nursery decor is white and grey with a pop of pink. I loved using the salmon and cream colors. We also both love Florals so just had to incorporate this wrap and tie back in her session! It looks so delicate and soft on her. She also has hand painted letters of her name hanging up in her nursery that mom DIY'd! Now I think it's time to get one of these gorgeous images hung up in their home!

She has forever changed their family being the first grandchild and great grand baby !  The only baby arriving in Several years for this sweet family.

Check out some of my favorite images from her session! Enjoy!

Adoption Story | Newborn Photography St. Louis MO Belleville IL

For many families, trying to have a baby of their own can be challenging. Many never give up hope!

After over six years of trying to conceive a child of their own, with many different treatments and methods...Amber & Xac began to explore adoption.

Longing to grow their family, they were placed on a waiting list to be chosen as adoptive parents. After 10 months of waiting, the couple learned they had been chosen to adopt a newborn baby boy! They were so excited, that in just a few days they would be able to welcome their baby into this world.

Meeting their son for the first time was exactly what they hoped for. Bringing him home they instantly bonded.  Their hearts are full & could not be happier!!!

Congratulations to them & welcome to the world baby Khai!!
